Is lazy a bad thing, I don’t think so, if lazy means saving time so you can accomplish more tasks, I don’t think it’s making people lazy. I understand your point of view and I do not disagree with what you are trying to say (I do not disagree when adjusted for my huge bias for VSCode)… But I disagree with how you say it. Either lazy is « a bad thing » either it is « a smart thing », I have the impression you are using the term as « a bad thing » to describe « a smart thing ». What you say about VSCode is probably true from your frame of reference and therefore your advice is very valuable. I have the luck to be using a 32GB RAM computer, so I do not feel the bloat, I am curious as how that could be rephrased to convey the same meaning without using lazy. Because in that [Lazy is bad] context we should go back using notepad to prove we are not lazy… but on the flip side in the [Lazy is smart] context using a bloated code editor is nothing smart… so it’s why I don’t like your usage of the term lazy because in conclusion, either way (contexts), it doesn’t point to use Lite… you will use lite if you are “lazy” and smart but if your not lazy because its a bad thing then you will go hardcore with notepad and it would not be the smartest move…
